At the Habitat For Humanity ReStore Addison and Habitat For Humanity ReStore Aurora, it’s easy to repurpose your gently used household items and overstock building supplies. We’re always looking for quality furniture, appliances, cabinets, lighting, tools and more for our stores. Remember—your hand-me-downs can be someone else’s treasure. Donate today!

In addition to helping to reuse and recycle, your Habitat for Humanity ReStore donations are tax deductible. Donations can be dropped off at the Habitat For Humanity ReStore Addison or Habitat For Humanity ReStore Aurora during normal business hours. Please note that the donation loading zone closes 30 minutes prior to closing.

We also offer a pick-up service for select large Habitat for Humanity ReStore donations. All pick-ups require the donated items to be in a garage or porch. Due to insurance and logistical reasons, drivers are not permitted to enter a residence. This includes condominiums and apartments. All Habitat for Humanity ReStore donations are accepted at the driver’s discretion.

We encourage you to hold onto donations and fill out a pickup request form so we can be of service to you as soon as our donation department is fully functional.

  • Appliances: Less than 10 years old—good working condition
  • Cabinets: Complete sets must include sink base – we cannot corner, end or blind corner single cabinets
  • Doors: Solid interior and exterior
  • Electrical: Outlets, switches, supplies
  • Flooring: Wood & Tile—4 box/50 sq. ft. minimum, Carpet—new, 100 sq. ft. minimum
  • Furniture: Tables, chairs, dressers, patio & upholstered items with no odors, stains, tears
  • Hardware: Miscellaneous hinges, knobs, nails, nuts, bolts, etc.
  • HVAC: Fireplaces, window air-conditioners
  • Lighting: Fixtures, lamps, ceiling fans
  • Millwork/Lumber: 6-foot minimum—no nails
  • Plumbing: Vanities—must have counter top and cabinet, Kitchen sinks, Toilets—must be clean, have all parts and be a neutral color, Bathroom fixtures
  • Tools: Must be in working order
  • Windows: New—uninstalled

  • Upholstered Furniture with rips, stains, pet hair or patterns

  • Dining Tables without chairs
  • Exercise equipment
  • Bi-fold/hollow-core/closet sliding doors
  • Used Windows & Storm windows
  • Unframed mirrors/glass
  • Whirlpool Tubs
  • Used insulation
  • Office furniture—desks, file cabinets, credenzas
  • Used light bulbs, lampshades, florescent lights & hard-wired shop lights
  • Used shower doors
